When the infection first began to 
spread, the people feared deeply for 
their lives. The infection did not 
kill quickly. It took its time, hiding 
within the infected and slowly showing 
more symptoms. Inthe early stages, the 
infection was easily hidden. They would 
hide their scratchy throats and puffy 
eyes in hopes of it fading away. "Its 
just allergies, I've been tested!" 
they'd say. When the decay began 
though, everybody knew. Pits of black 
flaky skin  would begin to form around 
the forearm, then moving up through 
the persons entire face. It will 
engulf their eyes, mouth, nose,  
until they have no features left. 
No one will nevermake it to that point 
though, they will die from the sheer 
overwhelming pain and mental torment 
before being fully consumed by the 
infection. A better death for them
than the other, at least they died 
before being devoured.
